U.S. insurers’ optimism is cooling about investment markets in 2025 and in their interest in taking on more investment risk, according to a fall 2024 survey of U.S. insurance decision makers commissioned by Conning. However, interest in private assets remains strong and the survey found that insurers expect to be adding exposure to private assets during the next two years.
